Major General Digendra Pratap Singh Shares Insights on Leadership, Strategy and National Security at IMRT Business School

IMRT Business School, Lucknow, hosted a special guest lecture by Major General Digendra Pratap Singh, Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), on Friday. The session, titled “Leadership, Strategy & National Security – Insights from a Life in Uniform,” offered students valuable insights into leadership, strategic decision-making, discipline, teamwork, and the importance of national security.

During the lecture, Major General Singh emphasised that effective leadership requires a clear vision, timely decision-making, strong team coordination, and the ability to remain composed under challenging circumstances. He highlighted how leadership principles developed through military service are equally relevant to management and the corporate world.

The programme was attended by Mr. D. R. Bansal, IFS (Retd.), Chairman of IMRT Business School, and Ms. Shilpika Pandey, Director, along with faculty members and staff. Addressing the importance of such engagements, the Chairman highlighted their role in students’ personality development and practical learning. The Director expressed her gratitude to the distinguished guest and noted that his experiences and insights would serve as a source of inspiration for students.

The event also featured a felicitation ceremony recognising students for their achievements across various categories, including leadership awards, academic excellence, sports, cultural activities, and outstanding attendance. Students who demonstrated exceptional performance in basketball, street play (Nukkad Natak), and ramp walk were also appreciated for their accomplishments.
